Mission

Strengthening relationships, families, and communities through mediation, facilitation, and training services.

History

The Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) of Kitsap County began in 1990 when a group of professional mediators, attorneys, and educators formed a small agency to help neighbors solve disputes peacefully and out-of-court. Since that time, we’ve grown into a major community service agency with services all across Kitsap County.

We help clients in schools, at the Kitsap Juvenile Center, Small Claims Court, behavioral health centers, and many other community settings.

Since our first mediation in 1991, we’ve trained dozens of professional mediators and helped thousands of people from all economic backgrounds solve business, community, and family problems that could otherwise lead to expensive lawsuits. We are one of 19 DRCs operating under Washington’s community dispute resolution statute.
