Our Board

Laura Spray

President

Laura has been affiliated with the DRC on an off since the early 1990’s as a volunteer mentor mediator, board member, and now Board President. She has trained in Group Facilitation, DV and Parent-Youth and Multi-party Restorative Mediations, and Victim-Offender meetings and currently specializes in family mediation. Laura has been a life-long small business owner. As current owner of Compassionate Transitions, she currently works as a care coordinator & companion for families and individuals experiencing transition or elevated levels of care. Laura finds that her mediation and facilitation skills apply to her work on a daily basis.

In her spare time Laura enjoys gardening, lifting heavy weights, and spending time with friends and family.

Mark Measer

Vice President

Mark Measer has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2013 and currently serves as Vice President. Mark specializes in Family Mediation, including Parent-Youth and Domestic Violence mediations. He currently works as an environmental consultant, after having retired from a thirty-four year career in federal law enforcement. Mark is a native of Western New York, He has lived in a variety of cities in the US and in Lyon, France. 

E. Faithe Lester

Secretary

Currently serving on the board of directors for The Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County, Faithe Lester has been involved with the organization since its beginning in the early 1990’s. Parallel to her work as a mediator, she had a full career in public education which included classroom instruction, teacher leadership and school administration. She holds a M. Ed degree from the University of Puget Sound and is a certified mediator with sub-category qualifications in Small Claims Court, Foreclosure, Domestic Violence, Youth Victim-Offender, Parenting Plans, Dissolution, Landlord-Tenant Eviction Avoidance, and Workplace Conflict Cases.

Her greatest pleasures in life have included parenting of two children (now adults) and sharing responsibilities as nanny to granddaughters. For want of something interesting and exciting to do, Faithe is a semi-pro photographer with photographic art on display at several galleries. Gardening is another passion, and she has been blessed with numerous opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Susan Bomalaski

Treasurer

Susan Bomalaski joined the Kitsap DRC Board in May 2023 and is currently serving as Treasurer. She works part-time as a mental health counselor from her home via telehealth. Susan is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and has 20 years’ experience leading non-profit community social service organizations in Texas and Alaska. Susan became associated with the Kitsap DRC in 2019 when she took the 40-hour mediation course while living part-time in Kingston and part-time in Alaska.  Susan and her husband Dave moved full-time to Kingston in 2021 and have a farm and vineyard outside Kingston.

Erin Grayson

Board Member

Erin Grayson is an ordained Minister in the Presbyterian Church, USA. She has served Presbyterian (PCUSA), Lutheran (ELCA), and Congregational (UCC) churches across the country.

Erin considers nonprofit work a fundamental part of her ministry. She is a founding member of Justice Revival, a human rights nonprofit based in Washington, DC. Locally, she served as co-president of the Bainbridge Island North Kitsap Interfaith Council and as a board member of the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial. In addition to the Kitsap Dispute Resolution Center, she currently serves on the board of Island Volunteer Caregivers.

Before her call to ministry, Erin taught French to high school students for several years. She has worked at Human Rights Watch in Washington, DC, and at the Carter Center in Atlanta, GA as a member of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Team.

Erin and her husband Tony have three great, almost grown-up children. They still love exploring new places together and playing board games in front of the fire.

Derry Lyons

Board Member

Derry is a seasoned K12 Educational Technology professional spending the last twenty years with the South Kitsap School District. He has a passion for servant leadership, customer support and using technology to help make lives easier.

When the devices are turned off, he and his wife Shelley can be found hiking, snowshoeing or volunteering on many of the great PNW trails throughout the Cascade mountains.
